Cousin's visit

  On weekend, my cousins visit us. They came to visit a family member's grave. They first visit the grave and then, came to our house. We tried to go to Oak Valley, however, it was too late and there were too many people. So we plan to return to home. While going home, my mom called me and asked us to watch some movie at the Lotte Cinema. Some of us liked it. However some of us said that they would rather go home and watch television. Other cousins, my younger sister and I watched Berlin. The postscript of Berlin was high. We expect it would be really fun. However we were kind of disappointed. I wasn't that fun as we expected. There were many action scenes and there weren't many stories. However, the actor and actress action were so fantastic! I was really amazed about their actions. After we saw the movie, we went to a restaurant to eat our dinner. The restaurant was so clean and tidy. We ate delicious roasted duck. It was best weekend on my vacation!

The Cut Glass Bowl - F.Scott Fizgerald

  Modernists claims that people should adapt the flows of era, not keeping the past. Learning from past and preventing from the same situation would be a good thing. However, the modernists think that keeping old things would make some troubles. And this story is an example of the troubles that happens when we keep the past things.

  The story 'The Cut Glass Bowl' it shows us the situations when we keep old past things. One part of the story, Evylyn was caught to her husband, cheating with another man. She was caught because of the glass bowl. The man she cheated tried to run away from the house, but he accidently hit the bowl and the bowl made a sound. Another part of the story, Evylyn's daughter, Julie had a blood poisons and she had to cut her hand. The blood poisons occurred because Julie was cut by a glass bowl. Also, when Evylyn's husband invited his family, they drank alcohol, which was contained in the glass bowl. After drinking it, they were drunk and said stupid things to each other. Because of it, they fight with each other. To add some more, Evylyn tries to break the glass bowl, because she thought that it was because of this glass bowl. However, when the glass bowl break, it pierced her and she die.

 To me living in modernistic is a good choice to live. When we look history book, we could see that same things are repeating again and again. And there are the reasons that the era of poverty is poor and the era of the wealthy is rich. We could learn things that were good and we could know and prevent things that are bad. Also, keeping the old things is not good choice. If we keep the past, we could not develop and we would just maintain the same thing. Living a life that is better would be benefit for our lives.

This food is staleness to eat for our lunch, because it was cook last day.

- to make exaggerated movements to show that you are upset
Young boy stamp his feet loudly that his parents can hear that he is angry with them.

- to make people feel strongly about something
Her comments made her friends inflame that they tried to end of their friendship forever.

A new family member

  When I arrived at home after academy, my family told me there is a new family member. It was a cute brown dog. After they told me, I heard the dog crying. My sister went to her and brought for me. She first looked me and didn't come to me. When I pet her, she then came to me and licked my hand. I hold her until the drama was end. My mom scolded me that the fur of hers would stick to my clothes and they would smell a lot. I stuck my nose close to my clothes and sniff deeply. It truly does smell a lot. I changed my clothes and took all my clothes to the laundry. However, it was nice to get a new family member

Taking photo

  Today, I went to photo studio to take some pictures with my family. Me, my brother and my mom need passport pictures so before going to photo studio, we went to hairdresser's to cut and refine our hairs. At the photo studio, my younger brother took photo first. He was kind of stiff so the photographer said to smile little bit. He smiled like a scarecrow to shoo away crows. Then, it was my turn to take photo. I had to take of my glasses, because it's against the rule. When I checked my photo I was kind of disappointed, because I looked really angry. After me, it was my mom's turn. She took a hairbrush and combed her hair. It looked kind of funny to me. When everyone took photo and when the photo was all printed, we couldn't stop laughing. I looked angry and my mom looked scary. Also, my brother had different sizes of his nostril. It was really fun day, and I hope we could go to Thailand as soon as we could.

The Garden Lodge - Willa Cather

  Now days, many people are being very personal and egoistic. So the meaning of the modernist is who characterize something by their own self conscious. There is a saying that 'We should not live for ourselves but for others'. Living for others would make people to respect and admire of you.

  The story of 'The Garden Lodge' flows to present time and past time depending to the main character. By this story flow, we could know that this story is modernism. The reason is because modernism is mostly characterized by someone's own conscious. Also, in other part of the story, the main character thinks about she spending time with Raymond d'Esquerre. However, Raymond d'Esquerre was not a real person. He was a man that Caroline had imagined. By this part of the story, we could infer that this is modernism. Because the man was not a real person. He was a person who is made up from the main character. This stands that this is also characterized by her own self conscious.

  Many people are becoming egoistic and selfish. However becoming egoistic person have more drawbacks than advantage. People would dislike people who are egoistic. But if the person is kind and thoughful, people would admire the person. To give an example, Helen Keller was a disable person. However, she overcome her disablities and lived her all life helping young disables. Still, many people admire and want to emulate her. People want to follow thoughful and kind people like Helen Keller. People blame and criticize selfish people. Being egoistic and selfish would be comfortable and easy for us. However, other people would be more uncomfortable and tough. For me I would rather be kind and thoughful than becoming egoistic and selfish.

Nail polishing

Most of my friends have nail polished by themsleves. The nail looked pretty and so cute. So, I decided to polish my nail like as them. I bought some nail polishes on the way home, after playing with my friend. She helped me chose some of them. Though, I am not good at polishing I tried hard ones that looked nice. When I tried to put on, my hand was trembling so much. It was very ugly and horrible as like that there was an explosion. So, I tried some easy ones that amateur could do. Eventhough it was easy one, to me it was kind of hard. Especially polishing left hand was difficult, becuase I am a left handed. When I finish polishing all of my nail, it looked pretty good. I also, polished my younger brother's nail. And he kind of like it too.
